2 weeks, 2 hours, 2 papers

2 weeks of O Levels have passed and I have 2 weeks, 2 hours, and 2 more papers until this hell ends (and hence the title hahaha)!! I remember how I was so, so terrified as O’s were nearing because I wasn’t ready to conquer it at all, and I broke down quite often because I didn’t want to do badly for O’s.


There’s the pressure your parents put on you and the pressure you put on yourself to do well in school. I’m from a fairly reputable school and a majority (I believe) of the students who had graduated did well for O’s, so there’s this pressure people put on you to do well as well.

Yes, O Levels are not the end of the world, but people make it to be. There are multiple routes one can take after secondary school to be successful in life (it also depends on what you consider being successful is. But that’s another story). Yes, doing well for O Levels does ensure that you take a shorter time to get to where you want to be. However, not doing well for O’s doesn’t mean you can't get to where you want to be in life in the future, you just take a longer route and a longer time.

Yes, yes, I understand this is very poorly organized and I actually seem to be going nowhere. But I just wanted to put my unorganized thoughts out there, and maybe some of you might agree with them.
